Tim Smith has a long history as an influential member of NATCA, exhibiting strong leadership skills in every position he has held within the union.
On Sept. 1, 2009, Tim Smith started his three-year term as NATCA Southwest Regional Vice President.
Tim started at the OKC Academy in 1989, and after, headed to ZOA where he served as both secretary and area rep.
In 1998, Tim relocated to ZFW where he remains to this day and has held the titles of VP, FacRep and Treasurer.
He has led the union regionally as a member of the Regional LMR Team, holding the title of LMR Team Lead from 2005
until recently.
When asked about his goals, Tim refers to the great deal of changes that lay ahead with the new contract.
“I am looking to build upon the strong foundation set up by my predecessor and take advantage of every opportunity
to create a more collaborative environment at every facility and within the region.”
